VOCALIST/SONGWRITER/CREATIVE

Olivia "VIA" Mertin is an independent singer/songwriter from Orlando, Florida. She is a graduate from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Music in Voice and Music Production, graduating summa cum laude.

Olivia wrote her first song at 8 years old, released her first single at 16, and continued writing original music while earning her Bachelor degree. Studying voice and music production took her musicianship to a new height, and by the end of her four years, she organized and performed an entire recital of original works entitled GOLDEN, which was livestreamed on her YouTube channel. Inspired by artists like Adele, Billie Eilish, Hozier, and Noah Kahan, her music is a blend of pop, folk, acoustic, and indie sounds.

With years of performance experience in opera, chamber, and contemporary ensembles, she brings both classical training and modern creativity to her art. Her versatile education has provided a strong foundation in songwriting, audio engineering, and live vocal performance.

Olivia now teaches beginner piano and voice lessons to students through Musician Makers, a local company of music educators. When she is not inspiring young musicians, she is writing, performing, and working towards releasing her music as an independent artist.

She is currently producing and releasing the songs performed at her GOLDEN performance. Be on the look out for the release date announcement of the first single, entitled E.V.I.L.
